The Fare, part harom (Shaera)
Carefully Phil navigated his taxi through the city traffic toward the first destination on his list. Oddly enough he noticed that he would make it their exactly at the time scribbled on the lsit next to it. Thinking back to all the previous times he "had" Sheara they never arrived to a destination at any time other then that which was listed. Traffic, weather, accidents...nothing seemed to throw off the schedule.
Slowing slightly to allow for better surveying of the local street nuumbers he recognized this part of town, the projects. He'd known some drivers from here and all their stories had commonalities...this was a hell.
"We're here Phillip." Sheara toned at the precise time that Phillip himself registered the correct building number.
Phillip flipped the car into park and watched Sheara exit the cab with narry a movement on her part. It seemed to him as though she floated. Watching her cross the sidewalk and enter building 378 of Rosevelt Commons only emphasised his "floating" hypothesis.
With the car and meter running Phillip thought back to the first time he had transported Sheara.
"So Phae fill me up for the road." Phillip said as he gathered his stuff from the bar and prepared to resume his shift having had a filling lunch.
"Excuse me." a singsong voice chimed as the most wonderful sensation befell Phillip, taking his breath away.
"Yes ma'am" he replied backing away to gather his wits.
"Is that by chance your cab? I surely need your help. Could you give me a ride."
"I'm just now headin' out and I'd be more then happy to ride you wherever you want...take you I mean."
"I could make it well worth your while." she finished lightly stroking Phil's chin.
At her touch his world spun like he was on three day binge. He suddenly realised that he was sporting more wood then he he'd had in years. Following her he helped her into his cab and started what to his mind was a comfortable relationship.
"We must proceed to our next destination, Phillip." Sheara siad entering the cab as effortlessly as she had left it.
"Yeah." Phil added pulling into traffic and glancing in the rearview mirror, noticed for the first time the star charm that dangled enticingly from the gold choker around the pale throat of his passenger.
